This manuscript, copied by three different scribes in a medium-size, vowelless and not entirely meticulous Sephardic square script, was probably made in Provence and is datable to the late 13th ‒ early 14th century. The parchment on which it was written is of mediocre quality. The book contains the tractates Shabbat (ff. 1r–94r) and Mo‘ed Katan (ff. 94v–123v) of the Babylonian Talmud. It once belonged to the ancient collection of the Palatine Library of Heidelberg. As is well known, this latter entered the Vatican Library in 1623.
